The starting Salary range for this position is between $19.25- $24 hourly. 

Responsibilities

Provide Direct Patient Assistance Service:

  • Receive and track PAP referrals from Clinic providers.
  • Assist patients in completing applications, compiling necessary supporting eligibility documentation, and following reapplication procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with Clinic medical providers, including obtaining prescriptions, signatures, medication releases, etc. necessary for application and reapplication processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients.
  • Process and distribute incoming medications.
  • Documenting all actions taken with PAP applications and reapplications within the medical record.
  • Maintain PAP database and other required clinic documentation and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing manufacturer requirements and availability of medications through PAP.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend staff meetings held during scheduled work hours.
  • Work cooperatively with other PCC staff to ensure effective communication, problem-solving, and service delivery.
  • Adhere to Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical, client-centered interaction within the Clinic setting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:  High School Diploma; college degree preferred

 

Experience:  Minimum two years’ experience in medical or human service setting.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Must acquire thorough familiarity with pharmaceutical companies and their respective patient assistance programs, including available medications, application procedures, re-application terms
  • Requires high level of organization, accurate documentation, and prompt follow-through on tasks and requested reports.
  • Must be able to work directly with patients in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner.
  • Able to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and with other clinic staff; ability to communicate effectively with persons of varying ages and cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
