Supports the mission of People's Community Clinic by providing staff with timely, high-quality data and educating them in the use of this information for decision-making.

 

The starting salary range for this position is between $65,000 - $72,000 annually. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform full reporting project development life cycle - from documenting requirements, extracting and aggregating data, and testing for data accuracy and validity to scheduling and delivering reports within targeted deadlines.
  • Partner with internal and external data consumers to understand reporting needs for regulatory requirements, grant fulfillment, business operations, quality measures, and special initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to ensure data is presented in a user-friendly format through easily accessible channels.
  • Work closely with in-house IT and outside vendors to ensure data stores are sufficient and of high integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, work processes, and patient care, and work cooperatively to implement these and other quality improvements.
  • Champion a metrics-based approach to decision-making and continual improvement of organizational analytics capacity.
  • Stay abreast of industry standards around reporting and outcomes.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of two years of experience working as a data analyst.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:             

  • Hands-on technical experience with writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries
  • Strong experience with Excel and familiarity with Cubes
  • Hands-on Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI
  • Expert in transforming data using appropriate tools and resources
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with people of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of computer and data expertise
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Healthcare EHR or Epic OCHIN experience preferred
  • Experience with statistical analysis using Python or R
  • Experience with healthcare integration or health exchange using HL7 standards or API formats
