Supports the mission of People’s Community Clinic by focusing on internal adherence to approved PCC policy and government regulation, including the execution of specific audits and managing internal quality assurance and compliance projects.  More generally, this position will focus on developing our internal quality assurance capacity, ensuring utility, sustainability and value.

 

The starting salary range for this position is $52,000 - $60,000 annually. 

Responsibilities

Compliance Auditing and Reporting:

  • Manage existing audit process to ensure clinic compliance with policies and procedures and government regulation.
  • Develop new audit processes as needed.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address identified risks.
  • Identify trends in noncompliance and recommend corrective action through changes in policies and procedures and training.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative reporting on audits to appropriate staff and committees.

Policy Management:

  • Manage all policies within PCC’s PolicyTech system.
  • Assess new programs at PCC and determine the need for additional policies and procedures.
  • Work with supervisors and other staff to develop new policies and keep policies up-to-date.
  • Ensure new and updated polices go through the appropriate approval process.

330 HRSA Grant:

  • Ensure compliance with all 330 Health Center Program requirements as defined by HRSA, including, but not limited to:
    • Accurate scope of services and sites within HRSA database.
    • Appropriate agreements/contracts with partner agencies.
  • Manage and submit required reports and grant applications.

HIPAA:

  • Coordinate clinic privacy activities, including the development of policies and procedures on patient privacy, confidentiality and release of patient information.
  • Conduct privacy risk assessments and internal privacy audits
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Additional responsibilities may include:

Project Coordination:

  • Develop and execute plans related to quality assurance and improvement, including hands on coordination, data reporting and course correction.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects related to compliance, including monitoring adherence to government grants and regulation.
  • Stay abreast of compliance developments in health care and its impact on the organization; keep staff and leadership aware of such changes.

340B Program:

  • Monitor and track the pharmacy benefit manager portal and internal controls to ensure ongoing compliance with all 340B requirements.
  • Develop and review policies and procedures related to Section 340B of the Public Health Service Act.
  • Ensure that the HRSA 340B database is complete and accurate for all 340B eligible sites.
  • Attend relevant trainings as needed and required.

Qualifications

Education: High schooldiploma or GED

Experience: 

  • 3 - 5 years’ professional level related experience
  • Nonprofit experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in standard computer software applications, especially Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with people from a variety of backgrounds and abilities
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in maintaining documentation
