Support the mission of People’s Community Clinic by providing prenatal and women’s health care and support to patients in a manner consistent with clinic values and standards; work with other employees to achieve high standards of operational efficiency and service effectiveness.
This position works as a member of a care team to coordinate patient care and support patients and families in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Care team members are expected to assess and manage the health needs of the patient population and to communicate effectively with all patients, especially vulnerable populations.
People’s Community Clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving all ages. The clinic offers Integrated Behavioral Health, OB care, pediatric and adult care, a teaching kitchen, Community Health Workers, Health Education, Nutrition, and more. The clinic uses EPIC for our electronic health records. After-hours triage is available for our patients.
Provide direct medical care for patients according to established standards of care, including:
Maintain standards of proficiency, service quality, efficiency and effectiveness in all task areas.
Participate in program planning, development, evaluation and implementation activities:
Education: BS or BA with graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: Minimum two years’ prenatal/women’s health experience as a nurse practitioner or nurse midwife serving a diverse patient population in a primary care facility preferred.
Certificate/License: Certified to practice as nurse practitioner or nurse midwife with a current license to practice in the State of Texas.
